Artillery Shelling Kills 1, Injured 2 in Rathedaung

1 killed and 2 injured in a series of artillery shelling by the Rathedaung based Burma Army’s battalion no. (538) into the Shwe Long Tin village under Rathedaung township on 17 September 2020 in the morning at around 9:30 am.
U Maung Maung Chay (43) year old was died in the spot when the first artillery mortar landed in the middle of the village. Another two villagers namely Daw Hla Saw Nu (87) year old and U Hla Tun Maung (64) year old were also injured.
The wounded people were brought to Kudaung hospital. Daw Hla Saw Nu has got injuries in her right leg while U Hla Tun Maung has got injuries in his chest.

According to the AASYC field workers in Rathedaung, there has been indiscriminate and continue shelling from the Burma Army’s naval ship patrolling along the Mayu river and the battalion no. (538) in this morning.
