Three bombs explode in Site-tway, two wounded

A series of bombs explosion have occurred on Saturday’s early morning and resulted two people injured in Site-tway, capital and administrative city of Arakan/Rakhine state, western Burma/Myanmar.

Three bombs exploded near the three different government’s office area almost simultaneously between 4:10 AM to 4:15 AM on 24 February . The first bomb was exploded in front of the residence compound of U Khin Maung Swe , the secretary of the state’s general administrative department at strand road injuring a police constable identified Nan Tin and a civilian doctor identified as Aye Chan Maung Maung who resides in the compound. According to the police and local sources the two injured persons were sent to the Site-tway General Hospital with minor injuries for treatment.

The other two bombs were exploded near the state Site-tway district court and state’s land department office but no injuries were reported in those blasts.

Till yet, the government officials have not disclosed any details information regarding who are the responsible and behind these blasts.

Meanwhile , the local residents in Site-tway particularly the youth populations concerned the potential increase numbers of more security tight and deployment of more military forces and police check posts in the city and Site-tway-Rangoon highway and other strategic points across the Arakan state which may result the obstruction and restriction of freedom of movements of the ordinary citizens.
