29th Assassination Anniversary of Arakanese Historian U Oo Thar Twan – 2019

Today is 14th August, marks the 29th assassination anniversary of U. Oo Thar Twan, We mourn today and he will never be erased from the history of Arakan and will always be remained in the deepest heart of the Arakanese people.

Even though the perpetrators have forgotten what they had done, the victims will not forget and forgive unless and until they (perpetrators) confess their wrongs deeds . It’s time to get justice of the assassination of Arakanese scholar,archaeologist,historian Saragree U. Oo Thar Twan by the the Burma’s oppressive regime of State Law and Order Restoration Council (SLORC) in 1990s .
U. Oo Thar Twan was killed by the oppressive Burmese SLORC regime in the Site-tway’s prison by putting poisonous chemicals in his food in the year of 1990.

While Burma is transforming towards the democracy ,the Transitional Justice(TJ) should not be forgotten . All the passed human rights abuses committed by the perpetrators should be confessed by the perpetrators in front of the nation and the voices and concerns of the victims must be heard and what they wanted to be. No victims should be left behind in this democratic reforms in Burma/Myanmar.

၂၀၁၉ ခုႏွစ္၊ ၾသဂတ္(စ္) ၁၄ ရက္ေန႔သည္ ဗမာ စစ္အာဏာ႐ွင္မ်ားႏွင့္ ၎တို႔လက္ပါးေစမ်ား၏ လုပ္ႀကံမႈေၾကာင့္ စစ္ေတြအက်ဥ္းေထာင္တြင္ ရခုိင္-ျမန္မာ ပ႑ိတ္ ဆရာႀကီးဦးဦးသာထြန္း က်ဆံုးခဲ့ရသည့္ (၂၉) ႏွစ္ေျမာက္ ဝမ္းနည္းေအာက္ေမ့ဖြယ္ရာ ေန႔တေန႔ျဖစ္သည္။

ဆရာႀကီး ဦးဦးသာထြန္းသည္ ဗမာစစ္အာဏာ႐ွင္မ်ား၏ မတရား ဖမ္းဆီးခဲ့ျခင္းကို ခံခဲ့ရၿပီး ေထာင္ဒါဏ္ (၃) ႏွစ္ အျပစ္ေပးခံခဲ့ရသည္၊ ဆရာႀကီးအား ေထာင္ထဲတြင္ ထမင္းေကြၽးရာတြင္ စိန္ အစ႐ွိေသာ အဆိပ္ပါသည့္အစာမ်ားအား ေန႔စဥ္လိုလို အနည္းငယ္ ထည့္ေကြၽး လုပ္ၾကံခဲ့ရာ ေထာင္က်ၿပီး (၅) လအၾကာ (၁၉၉၀) ခုႏွစ္ ၾသဂတ္(စ္) (၁၄) ရက္တြင္ စစ္ေတြအက်ဥ္းေထာင္၌ ကြယ္လြန္သြားခဲ့သည္။
