Burmese/Myanmar government unconditionally released 8541 prisoners on a presidential amnesty on the occasion of the Burmese/Myanmar New Year 1380 on Tuesday 17th April, 2018. Among the 8541 prisoners , 8490 prisoners are Myanmar citizen and 51 prisoners are foreigners according to the Myanmar President Office’s official Facebook page . But it is still unknown to the public that how many political prisoners and activists were included in the presidential pardon?
