Burmese authority has released an Arakanese social worker Ko Ann Thar Gree (aka) U Than Shwe on 14 February , Wednesday’s afternoon in Mrauk-U , Arakan state . He was arrested by the Myanmar police on 15 October last year from Mrauk-U with the allegation of section 17(a) and 17(b) of Unlawful Association Act for organizing an literary talk in April as commemoration of the 8th year founding anniversary of Arakan Army (AA) , a military wing of United League of Arakan (ULA) . Today In his 14th court hearing in the Mrauk-U township court, the judge ordered not to file a charged against him since the court did not find any affiliation proves and evidence with government blacklisted organizations.

Despite the democratic transition in Burma the Burmese/Myanmar government has been violating the right to practice the freedom of speech and freedom of assembly of the which are the fundamental rights of the citizens arresting Arakanese politician, youths and social activists by using the colonial laws and sections of the country.
